Instructional step by step guide on how to reconnect your Sungrow inverter to your wifi network

Step 1

Preliminary checks

Let’s just do a few things to check if we should continue with the reconnection

  1. Is your inverter on? Check breakers that may have tripped
  2. Is your wifi turned on?
  3. Is your wifi signal in range of your inverter? You can check this by seeing if you can use the internet with your phone next to your inverter (make sure you’re using the wifi and not cellular)
  4. Can you connect to your wifi with your phone, confirm you have the correct name and password
  5. Download and install iSolarCloud app onto your phone

Step 2

Press the button on your dongle 3 times to put it into ‘wifi reconnection mode’

Step 3

Navigate through the iSolarCloud app with below steps

  1. Login to the app
  2. Click ‘support’ at the bottom of the app screen
  3. Click ‘Local Access’
  4. You can scan the QR code on your dongle, or enter it manually
  5. Join the network when prompted
  6. You will be asked for another login screen, this is for your inverter (not your solar monitoring). Please enter the below (case sensitive)
    • Account: user
    • Password: PW1111
  7. You should be able to see what your inverter is doing now on your phone. This just means you’re connected to your inverter directly using the phone, it doesn’t mean it has internet access yet.
  8. Click ‘More’ at the bottom of the screen
  9. Click ‘WLAN Configuration’
  10. You’ll now see a screen with all available wifi networks within range that are visible.
  11. You should be able to see your wifi network here (if you cannot, this means you do not have range to the inverter or other issues). Click your wifi network and enter in the password for the wifi and connect

You may need to repeat these steps for the other dongles on your system, check to see if the other inverters are also offline before doing so.
